Nach einem langen Turniertag stand der Schaffhauser Sven Geiger als Sieger des SDC Event 04 fest. In einem packenden Finale bezwingt er Felix Schiertz im “Decider” mit 7-6 Legs und übersteht dabei mehrere Matchdarts.
Geiger sah seinen Weg ins Finale bereits vor dem Turnier geebnet, als bekannt wurde, dass neben den Top-Favoriten Bellmont, Walpen und Graudenz, auch andere gute Spieler wie Fulcinitti, Bless sowie der Deutsche Marco Obst fehlten. So war bereits vor Turnierstart klar, dass am Ende des Tages ein neuer Turniersieger feststehen würde, sollte Patrick Ganter sich nicht durchsetzen können. Neben Geiger und Schiertz erwischten auch Marcel Gugger und Frieder Lang einen erfolgreichen Turniertag und kämpften sich bis ins Halbfinale durch.
Nach dem Turnier in Thun ist eine Sommerpause bis Ende August angesagt. Nach der Pause werden am 26. sowie 27. August dann die Events 5+6 in der Lettenhalle Diessenhofen stattfinden.

| SDC Tour 4 Sunday 2 July the fourth SDC Tour event of the season was played. A total of 123 players entered, with 97 SDC-tourcardholders and 26 reserve players registered. The winner of SDC Tour 2, Marco Obst, and the finalists of Saturday didn’t play on Sunday so there was a big chance for a new winner on the SDC-circuit. The event started in 32 groups, 29 groups of four players and 4 groups of three players. Only the top two of every group could advance to the last 64. In the last 64, most favorites won their matches. In the last 32, Patrick Ganter lost to Christoph Schuhmann with a score of 4-3, indicating that a new winner would emerge in Thun. Sven Hofmann and Sven Gewalt were not among them as they both lost in the last 32. In the last 32, Sood suffered a 4-0 defeat against Fabian Schor. In the same round, Felix Schiertz lost in a nail-biting final leg to Jochen Graudenz, while Frieder Lang, Patrick Ganter, and Croatian player Matija Prpic were also eliminated. The semifinalists of the Saturday event were eliminated in the last 16. Ansh Sood lost in a deciding leg to Fabio Piscitelli, while Luis Camacho was whitewashed by Sven Geiger with a scoreline of 4-0. In the quarterfinals, three Swiss players emerged victorious in their matches. Felix Schiertz defeated Sebastian Jacobi 5-1, while Sven Geiger and Marcel Gugger secured 5-3 winst over Fabio Piscitelli and Denis Schnetzer, respectively. The other semi-finalist was the most improved player of last season, Frieder Lang. He defeated compatriot Lukas Dallmann 5-2. In the semifinals, there were two 6-2 victories. Schiertz and Geiger reached their first-ever final on the SDC-circuit. Schiertz defeated Lang with an average of 78, while Geiger, with an average of 77, overcame Gugger. It was Schiertz who started the final in the best way, winning three out of the first 4 legs to take a 3-1 lead. Then it was Geiger who took the initiative, with a 102-checkout and a 13- and 14-dart-leg, he took a 4-3 lead. Then two legs went with the darts, including a 110-checkout from Geiger. He followed it up with a 75-checkout, bringing the score to 6-4 and getting match point. Schiertz didn’t give up and fought back in the final. Legs in 16 and 19 darts made it 6-6, and a deciding leg had to be played. Schiertz seemed to be pulling the leg in his favor after being left on 90 after 9 darts. However, he missed 6 match darts, allowing Geiger to win the final at double 4 and claim his first-ever SDC Tour title!
